The CBIOS researcher Patrícia Rijo signed a contract with Elsevier to become an associate editor of the prestigious Q1 journal Phytomedicine.

CBIOS project on Dietary Patterns and Body Composition funded by ILIND Seed Funding Program

Gathering a team of experts in Nutrition, Diabetes, Biochemistry, Epidemiology, Skin Physiology and Microcirculation regulation, the MetCardio_DBC study will explore the impact of vegetarian-vegan versus omnivorous dietary patterns and physical activity habits in body composition, skin health and metabolic markers to establish the correlations between these parameters with metabolic health and cardiovascular risk.

The project “Fine-tuning TMBIM ion channel activity to control hallmarks of cancer” gets funding

This project aims at exploring the function of cancer progression-associated proteins TMBIMs, and to search for pharmacological modulators using High Performance Computing technologies.

CBIOS PhD Student awarded at the National Congress of Senology

The work of the PhD student Paulo Luz was distinguished at the XI National Congress of Senology, held in October, with the prize in the category of Medical Oncology – Early Disease.
